This film is not a 2010 edited version of Werner Herzog, but rather two films. Happy People: A Year on Taga Island "tells the story of Bakhtia Village on the Yenisei River in Taga Island, Siberia. It mainly revolves around a hunter's one-year life and how he survived and brought money to his family throughout the year. The story begins in spring and takes the audience on a journey that spans all seasons, as well as how the catcher adapts to each time of the year. We are following a hunter who is about to leave this village of about 300 residents and head to the wilderness to set traps and base camp for the upcoming winter. He brought all the equipment with him and didn't have to hand over anything. He had to make it in the next few months. His only companion is his hunting dog, which helps catch some smaller animals, and I believe it will also prevent the hunter from going crazy.
