一个在美国经商成功的印度裔美国人，在49岁那一年宣布退休，变卖家产回到印度，创办了一所只招收印度最低等姓氏（印度教的种姓制度）孩童的学校。
最低等姓氏群体被认为是“不可接触者”或“贱民”，他们的社会地位最低，最受歧视，绝大部分为农村贫雇农和城市清洁工、苦力等。
