一般看来，可以将克里斯托弗·诺兰的「黑暗骑士三部曲」视为DC漫改电影重新崛起的开端。这三部电影的火爆不仅带动了DC与华纳对真人电影的进一步开发，而且还反哺到了二次元领域，使得蝙蝠侠动画电影呈现出与之前完全不同的模样，更原创、更精致、更丰富的特色成为了新时代蝙蝠侠动画电影的特色。《蝙蝠侠：哥谭骑士》、《蝙蝠侠：红影迷踪》都各具亮点，上下两部的《蝙蝠侠：黑暗骑士归来》更是堪称经典。当然，这里面也少不了讲述起源故事的《蝙蝠侠：元年》。

《蝙蝠侠：元年》是一部讲述布鲁斯·韦恩，詹姆斯·戈登，哈维·丹特，塞琳娜·凯尔几位主要角色起源故事的电影，不论是蝙蝠侠的铁杆粉丝或是普通观众，都能从这部《蝙蝠侠：元年》中，了解许多重要的信息。
