Thorn is a Shan sex worker who responds to his painful reality by imagining himself in the lives of clients in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He was caught up in a complex relationship with a client who was a police officer investigating political activists, despite attempting to establish his own future as a refugee far from his hometown.
