I saw this Persian Iranian film without English subtitles at the Iranian Early Film Review Exhibition being held in Kerala, India. "What I saw was printed matter without subtitles, which made no difference because there were few spoken conversations.". This is a film that any audience can appreciate - its story and values are not only Iranian, but also universal. The film is set in rural Iran, where the oil dollar boom has not yet tasted. The environment is located on the edge of the desert, where there is a lack of water, sparse rainfall, and almost no green grass. Coupled with the impact and lash of wind and dust on people and animals, you can imagine the plight of people living on the margins of society. This film tells a touching story about a young boy who returns to his village with a goat, only to find that his family and villagers have moved to escape the unpredictable nature, leaving only an elderly person.
